Before First Use:
1. The power requirement (look at identification label on device, indicated in "VA")
must never be higher than the max. power rating of the step-down transformer.
Tip: We recommend not exceeding 80% of the device's power rating for best tone
and safe operation. E.g. 400VA for the 500VA step-down transformer VT500ESG-S.
2. Make sure your device is designed to operate at 110-120V and 50-60Hz.
3. Only connect devices with three-pole power chords. Otherwise there is danger
of an electric shock. Many old American-made amplifiers do only have a two-pole
power chord.
These must be converted by a professional for a safe electrical grounding. We of-
fer the needed cable (part number PC205).
Instructions for Use:
1. Connect step-down transformer to power socket (230V/50Hz) using the
provided power chord.
2. Plug your amp into one of the connectors on the front.
3. Switch on step-down transformer by using the lighted rocker switch on
the front of the device. ON = the switch is illuminated.
4. Now switch on your amplifier.
