4 PREPARING THE MACHINE
4.1
Moving the packaged machine
The machine is contained in specific packing (box + two-way pallet to be lift up only on the longer side) with a platform so that
it can be moved by a fork-lift.
Packing dimensions are:
A. 1750 mm
B. 1200 mm
C. 1730 mm
WARNING
- The fork lift or the transpallet have to pick up the pallet at the center, the item has to be moved very carefully
without crash and paying attention to lift it up over the reasonable height.
4.2
How to unpack the machine
1. Remove the outer packing lifting with a screwdriver the clips that join box and pallet. The machine is fastened to its platform
by wedges that clamp its wheels and with a polyethylene blade.
2. Remove the blade with suitable nippers paying attention to its elastic return.
3. Use a ramp to lower the machine off the platform, pushing it in reverse.
4. Keep the pallet as it may be necessary to transport the machine again.
4.3
Inserting the batteries in the machine
The batteries must be housed in the battery compartment below the solution tank and must be handled using special hoisting
equipment suitable both for the weight and for the hooking system.
WARNING
– For the maintenance and daily recharging of the batteries, it is necessary to follow the instructions
provided by the manufacturer or its dealer. All installation and maintenance operations must be carried out by
specialized personnel. Do not smoke, do not approach naked flames, do not use emery wheels and welding
machines; however, do not cause sparks near the batteries. Do not draw power from the battery with temporary
clamps, sockets and contacts. Make sure that all connections (cable lugs, sockets, plugs, etc.) are always well
tightened and in good condition. Check the integrity of the battery modules.
When handling batteries, always wear the safety clothing required by specific regulations. In particular,
before carrying out any work on the batteries, remove any metallic item from hands, wrists and neck, eg.
rings, watch chains. Do not place tools or metal objects on top of the batteries.
When inserting the batteries:
1. Tilt completely the seat till the complete reversement
2. Remove the handwheel that locks the clean water tank to the chassis.
3. Tilt completely the solution tank.
4. Install the battery following the schema and connect them with wirings given (Fig. 1). Prevent tools from coming into contact
simultaneously with more than one battery pole.
5. Take care not to crush, tear or damage the seat cable, when turning the tanks to their original position.
6. Screw the handwheel that fix the cleaning tank to the chassis.

Connecting the battery connector
The battery connector is located below the driving seat.

Recharge of batteries
In order not to cause the risk of permanent damage to the batteries, one should at all costs avoid their complete discharge
and effect recharging within a few minutes after that the signal lamp of discharged batteries begins to blink.
WARNING
– To avoid permanent damage to the batteries, it is essential to avoid their complete discharge, and to
recharge them within a few minutes after the warning of low batteries. Recharge IMMEDIATELY after discharge: DO NOT
LEAVE THE BATTERIES, EVEN PARTIALLY, DISCHARGED.
For the maintenance and daily recharging of the batteries it is necessary to follow the instructions provided by the
manufacturer or its dealer. All installation and maintenance operations must be carried out by specialized personnel.
The battery recharging operations are to be carried out in well-ventilated places and far from heat sources. Do not smoke,
do not approach naked flames, do not use emery wheels and welding machines; however, do not cause sparks near the
batteries. Charge with the battery caps and sides open. Do not perform repairs on the batteries and the machine while
