The Loudness Setup Menu
Please note that Loudness monitoring on the SAM-Q-SDI is a license option. The following instructions
assume that the Loudness license is present in your SAM-Q-SDI.
To check if your SAM-Q-SDI already has the Loudness license installed, please refer to page 74 of this
manual.
For information on how to add SAM-Q-LOUD-LIC Loudness license to your SAM-Q-SDI, please refer to
page 74 of this manual.
The optional SAM-Q-LOUD-LIC Loudness provides the following functionality:

8 x Independent Loudness Probes
•
Real-Time Loudness Data (accessible over Ethernet)
To begin setup, select the Loudness Menu
You will now be presented with the following:
Source Select buttons 5 and 6 shown above allow the Loudness Scale (either Lu or Lk) and the Loudness
Target to be set (-23 in this example). These global settings apply to all eight loudness probes.
To configure a Probe, use Source Select button 1 to enter the Probes Menu
