4. Installing the driver

4.1 

Windows 95 / 98 / Millennium Edition

These monitors satisfy the Microsoft Windows Plug and Play standard. The monitor will be automatically
detected when starting Windows 95 or 98.

1.  Start Windows. After a short period, new hardware will be detected (Plug and Play monitor) and the 'Add

New Hardware Wizard' will start up.

2.  Click on 'Next' to continue.

3.  Insert the CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.

4.  Select 'CD-ROM' to give the correct location of the driver.

5.  Select ‘Precision Viewer Excellence Series’ and click on 'Next' to continue.

6.  Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

You will not have to restart your computer after completing the installation.

4.2 

Other operating systems

No driver is required for other operating systems, such as MS-DOS, Windows 3.1x or Windows NT.

5. Setting the resolution and refresh rate

See the table below for the optimal setting.

Follow the instructions below to change the colour depth, resolution and refresh rate in Windows:

1.  Go to your monitor's properties in the 'Control Panel' (Start - Settings - Control Panel and double click on

the 'Display' icon).

2.  Click on the 'Settings' tab.

Note:

See Windows Help (F1) for more information about adjusting the colour depth, resolution and
refresh rate.

5.1 Colour

1.  Adjust the colour depth using: 'Color palette'.

2.  Click on 'Apply'.

5.2 Resolution

1.  Change the resolution by moving the slidebar for the 'Desktop area'.

2.  Click on 'Apply' to accept the changes. Follow the on-screen instructions.

5.3 

Adjusting the refresh rate

5.3.1  Windows 95 / 98 / 2000 / Millennium Edition

1.  Click on the 'Advanced' button to adjust the refresh rate.
