Description of the camera
Tables 1 to 4 and figure 1 can be used to quickly become acquainted with the
camera.

Power button
Turns the camera on and off (see chapter 6.1).

Lens cover
Protects the lens when the camera is not in use
(see chapter 6.1).
Press this button to take a photograph (see
chapter 6.2).
Press the button to start recording a video clip.
Press this button again to stop recording a video
clip (see chapter 6.3).

Shutter / Quick Exit
Button
Press this button to exit the menu (see chapter
5.5).
Use this switch to place the camera in the
following modes:
Camera (video) mode
Photo mode

Mode switch
Playback mode

Microphone
Records sound whilst recording video clips.

Flash
Use the built-in flash to give the subject extra
lighting if it is in dark surroundings or for extra
lighting when there is backlighting (see chapter
6.2.4).

USB plug
Connection for connecting the camera to the
USB port of a computer.
Switch for selecting the macro or micro mode
(see chapter 6.2.1).
Macro mode: 30 – 60 cm.

Focus switch
Micro mode: 60 cm to infinity.

Lens
Records the image to be taken.

Self-Timer LED
indicator
Flashes when the automatic exposure function is
used (see chapter 6.2.5).
