 Possible risk of misfiring!

– Wait for at least three minutes before trying again if there is

a fault or if ignition was unsuccessful.

– Contact service following three unsuccessful ignition

attempts.

If the flame goes out during operation, an immediate

automatic re-ignition attempt takes place within the

closing time of the safety pilot (approx. 30 seconds). In the

event that ignition is unsuccessful despite repeated attempts

(e.g. because the gas cylinder is empty), the auto ignitor

continues to operate until the control knob (a) is set to “0”.

Switching off

Set the control knob (a) to “0” (g) (auto ignitor is thereby

switched off at the same time). If the heater is not going to be

used for a long period, close quick-acting valve in gas supply

line and gas cylinder.

With an installation with a wall cowl

(see Figure C3)

the cowl grille (14) can be covered with the cowl cov-

er (17 – accessories) in order to prevent penetration by water,

for example when the caravan is being washed or if there is a

storm.

Maintenance

Possible burn injury hazard if contact is made with the

hot heater. Work only when the heater is switched off

and has cooled down.

In spite of careful manufacturing, the heater may have

sharp edges, therefore always wear protective gloves

during maintenance and cleaning work!

It is prohibited to use products containing chlorine on

and inside the appliance.

Auto ignitor battery change

– If no ignition spark is heard during start-up or if fewer than

two ignition sparks are visible per second, the battery must

be replaced.

– Insert a new battery at beginning of every heating season.

Always use temperature-resistant (+70 °C), leakproof

1.5 V Mignon batteries (LR 6, AA, AM 3) (part no.

30030-99200), as other batteries could cause malfunctions.

Possible burn injury hazard if contact is made with the

hot heater. Always ensure that heater is switched off

and has cooled down before replacing batteries.

– Slide the battery compartment cover upwards and replace

the battery. Pay attention to positive / negative.

– Close battery compartment again.

Battery disposal

The battery may not be disposed of with domestic refuse,

instead it must be sent for recycling via a collection point.

By doing this you are contributing towards reuse and

recycling.

Burner ignition

Before operation, ensure that there is a new battery with suf-

ficient charge in the auto ignitor.

Possible risk of misfiring! Reduced ignition frequency

due to an old or weak battery in the auto ignitor.

– At least two ignition sparks must be visible per second.

– If this is not the case, replace the battery in the auto ignitor

(see “Auto ignitor battery change”).

1. Remove cowl cover if fitted (when installing with wall cowl)!

2. Open the gas cylinder and quick-acting valve in the

gas supply line.

3. Set the control knob (a) to the spark symbol (e) (auto ignitor

is switched on) and press it in as far as possible (maximum

30 seconds). Ignition takes place automatically in this position

(ignition spark is audible) until the flame is burning.

4. Monitor the ignition process through the mica window (b).

A flame can be seen when ignition is successful.

5. After a successful ignition, keep the control knob held down

for another 10 seconds so that the safety pilot responds.

6. Allow the heater to burn for approx. 1 minute in the ignition

position before setting it to “High” (f).

7. The heating power is continuously adjustable at the control

knob (a) between the low setting (e) and the high setting (f).
