The unit is equipped with reverse polarity protection. If
the unit is connected with incorrect polarity, there will be
no display on the LED. The unit can be used after establishing
proper polarity.
To guarantee optimum power supply, the heating system
must
be connected to the fused on-board network (central
electronics unit 10 A)
with a 2 x 2.5 mm² cable
(for lengths
over 6 m with 2 x 4 mm² cable). If relevant, voltage drops in
the supply cable must be taken into account. Connect the
negative lead to the central earth. If connected directly to the
battery, the positive and negative leads must be fused. For the
connections (40, 41), we recommend 6.3 mm fully insulated
flat connectors.
Do not connect any other consumers to the supply line!
When power packs or power supply units are being
used, note that the output voltage is between 11 V and
15 V and the alternating current ripple is < 1.2 Vpp. We rec-
ommend the automatic chargers from Truma for the different
applications. Please ask your dealer. Other chargers may be
used only with a 12 V battery as a buffer.
Connecting room temperature sensor to the unit
Plug the connection cable‘s plug onto connection (46)
(no need to observe polarity).
Connecting control panel to the unit
Insert the plug (35) of the connection cable (34) into one of
the connections (47 or 48). Make sure that the plug engages.
Connection 230 V
(Combi 4 E / Combi 6 E)
The electrical connection is only to be carried out by an
expert (in accordance with VDE 0100, part 721 or
prIEC 60364-7-721 in Germany). The information given here is
not intended as instructions for you to carry out. It is for
assisting the expert assigned to carry out the job, acting as
auxiliary information when connecting the appliance!
Always make sure to con nect carefully, observing the correct
colours!
For maintenance and repair work a disconnecting device must
be provided on the vehicle for all- pole disconnection from the
power supply, with at least 3.5 mm contact clearance.
Connect to the mains supply
via the 150 cm long silicone
cable by means of a fuse-
protected line of at least 10 A
(better 16 A).
All cables must be secured
with cable clips.
Function check
After installation, the gas feed line must be tested for tight-
ness by the pressure-drop method. A test certificate must be
issued (e.g. in accordance with DVGW Work Sheet G 607 in
Germany).
Then check all functions of the appliance, as specified in the
operating instructions, in particular the water content draining
function.
There shall be no guarantee claims for damage
caused by frost!
The operating instructions and completed guarantee card are
to be given to the owner of the vehicle.
Warning information
The installer or vehicle owner must apply the yel low sticker
with the war ning information, which is enclosed with the
applian ce, to a place in the vehicle where it is clearly visible to
all users (e.g. on the wardrobe door)! Ask Truma to send you
stickers, if neces sary.
