The
Serial data
page is for the more experienced installer. The page offers a valuable tool
for monitoring the data output from the transponder. Data is output in NMEA0183 format.
Received data will appear as !AIVDM strings, transmitted data as !AIVDO and GPS data as
$GPRMC (or any of the GPS data sentences selected). The field

the data window is used for input data
to
the transponder. This field is only used for
diagnostics and service functions.
The data shown in the window can be logged and recorded in file format for later recovery
and analysis.
