Fuses
Warning
Always replace blown fuses with new
ones of the correct rating (as specified
on the fuse box cover).
Never replace a blown fuse with a fuse
of a different rating.
Use of an incorrect fuse could lead to
an electrical problem, resulting in
motorcycle damage, loss of motorcycle
control and an accident.
Warning
Before disconnecting the battery or
removing a fuse, note and record the
rider mode settings.
Once
the
battery
has
been
reconnected or the fuse refitted then
the rider mode settings should be
reset as noted.
Failure to reset the rider mode
settings
and
the
motorcycle
subsequently being ridden may cause
loss of motorcycle control and an
accident.
A blown fuse is indicated when all of the
systems protected by that fuse become
inoperative. When checking for a blown
fuse, use the fuse identification table to
establish which fuse has blown.
The fuse box is located beneath the
rider's seat. To allow access to the fuse
boxes, the rider's seat must be removed
(see page
67).
