Voltage Regulator

Model: VRX2008R (220V, 50/60Hz Input, Output)

•

Install your voltage regulator indoors, away from excess
moisture and heat, direct sunlight, and dust and other conductive
contaminants.

•

For best performance, keep the indoor temperature between 0º C and
40º C (between 32º F and 104º F ).

•

Leave adequate space around all sides of the voltage regulator for
proper ventilation.

•

Connect your voltage regulator directly to a three-wire, grounded
AC power outlet. Do not remove or modify the ground pin of the
voltage regulator’s plug. Do not use adapters that would eliminate
the voltage regulator’s connection to ground.

•

Do not use extension cords between the voltage regulator and the
AC outlet. If necessary, a Tripp Lite Surge Suppressor may be used
between the voltage regulator and the AC outlet.

•

Use of this equipment in life support applications where failure
of this equipment can reasonably be expected to cause the failure
of the life support equipment or to significantly affect its safety or
effectiveness is not recommended. Do not use this equipment in
the presence of a flammable anesthetic mixture with air, oxygen or
nitrous oxide.

Under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive and implementing
regulations, when customers buy new electrical and electronic equipment from Tripp Lite
they are entitled to:
• Send old equipment for recycling on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis (this varies

1

Connect your voltage regulator to an electrical outlet.

2

Plug your computer and electronics into your voltage regulator’s

outlets.

NOTE: Four outlets feature Automatic Voltage

Regulation (AVR) only and four outlets feature surge
suppression only. Connect your computer and electronics
accordingly.

3

Turn your voltage regulator’s power switch on.

NOTE: This connection is optional.

Your voltage regulator will

work properly without this connection.

Using telephone cords,

connect your wall jack to the voltage regulator jack marked “IN” and
your equipment to the voltage regulator jack marked “OUT”.

BOOST:

This yellow light will turn ON whenever your voltage

regulator is boosting low AC line voltage up to nominal
voltage levels.

POWER:

This green light will turn ON when your voltage regulator is

receiving normal AC line voltage. It will blink if the system
load is too high at very low voltages. Reducing loads at very
low voltage levels will provide optimal AVR operation.

CUT:

This red light will turn ON whenever your voltage regulator
is reducing high AC line voltage down to nominal voltage
levels.
