Unauthorized towbar!
If you use a towbar that has not been authorized, the aircraft nose gear and the unit can be dama-
ged.
Only use towbars that have been authorized for this type of aircraft.
Make sure that the coupling of the towbar is parallel to the ground's surface and level with the
towing coupling of the CHALLENGER550.
Do not exceed maximum towed load.
Raised driver's cab!
The raised driver's cab can touch and damage the hull of the aircraft during coupling.
In "Push-back" mode, only couple when the cab of the CHALLENGER550 is completely lowe-
red.
In "Maintenance-towing" and "Repositioning" modes, do not raise cab to a height where it
could come to a collision with the hull of the aircraft when reversing.
Jerky driving and sudden steering movements!
The aircraft nose gear can be damaged or the "shear pin" on the towbar broken because of jerky
driving and sudden steering movements.
Drive continuously and slowly.
Select the correct drive position in order to avoid too great a torque.
Steer continuously and avoid abrupt and non-constant steering movements.
Brake the train (CHALLENGER550-towbar-aircraft) in a continuous straight line.
Maintain constant visual and radio contact with the wing walker.
Maintain constant radio contact with the aircraft's pilot.
