Regeneration of the particulate filter and the SCR catalyst
If the "Regeneration necessary" control light on the Motometer flashes yellow, too many crystals
have formed in the SCR catalyst or the particulate concentration in the particulate filter is too high.
The stationary regeneration needs to be started.
INFORMATION
If there is too much crystallization in the SCR catalyst or if the particulate concentration in the parti-
culate filter is too high, the scoot and NOx emissions will no longer be reduced sufficiently. The
legally required emissions values of the engine can no longer be achieved.

Starting the stationary regeneration
Fire hazard!
Very high exhaust temperatures (> 970 ¬×C) are generated during stationary regeneration, and the
exhaust system becomes very hot (approx. 700 ¬×C).
Flammable materials can easily ignite and persons may be seriously injured.
Park the CHALLENGER550 on a clean concrete or gravel surface. Do not park on grass or
on an asphalt surface!
Make sure that no highly flammable materials such as paper, hydraulic hoses, gas pressure
bottles, or wood are lying within a radius of 1.5 m.
Keep persons away from the danger area.
Do not monitor regeneration from the CHALLENGER550, rather choose a safe observation
point.
Keep a fire extinguishing tank at the ready.
