PACU Extenders in the Armboard Position (or When Removed
from the Stretcher)—Lowering the Back Section
• Squeeze the back release handle located at the top of the back section on
either side of the articulating head section (under the patient’s shoulder
region on the stretcher).
• Push down on the back section. When the desired position is reached,
release the handle.
Procedural/Surgical Stretcher Thigh Articulation
There are two thigh section options available: crank and stationary.
Raising or Lowering the Thigh Section
• Locate the thigh crank handle at the foot section of the stretcher.
• Pull the crank handle out from its stored position, and lock it into the
cranking position.
• Turn the handle clockwise to raise or counterclockwise to lower the thigh
section. Turn the handle until the desired position is reached.
• Store the handle after use by rotating it in toward the head end of the
stretcher.
NOTE:
The PC-100/PC-200 procedural stretcher does not have thigh articulation
capability.

Raising the Thigh Section Using the Patient Controls
• On the nurse control, make sure the knee ON/OFF switch is in the ON
position.
• Push the knee up arrow on the patient control panel located on the siderail.
• Release the knee up arrow when the desired position is reached. The head
section will lock in place.
