Trane recommends submitting a start-up form for each unit on the job. Basic Factory Warranty is 12-months from the date of shipment without start-up form
on file at the factory. With a start-up form, warranty is 12-months from start-up, not to exceed 18-months from date of shipment. In the event that controls are
furnished by someone other than the factory, the controls supplier must be represented on the job at the time of the start-up.
1. Inspect the unit exterior and interior for shipping and installation damage.
2. Check the bill of lading against the material received.
3. Make certain all packing material has been removed from the unit.
4. Check all fans for free movement.
5. Tighten all electrical terminals.
6. Check damper motor linkage and burner motor linkage (if applicable) for
tightness.
7. Tighten set screws on all pulleys, bearings and fans.
8. Make certain all air filters are installed.
9. Check all controls for proper setting.
10. Check operation of FA/RA damper operation.
11. If applicable, check night set-back and time clock for operation.
12. Check belts for proper tension and alignment and see service manual
for suggested settings.

HEATING

1. If applicable, remove shipping screw from gas pressure switches. Turn
on supply gas. Reset gas pressure switches. Turn control panel to heating.
