The following list is submitted in addition to the installation requirements and
not intended to supersede regulations or codes having jurisdiction. It is
recommended these items be reviewed and completed prior to requesting or
initiating equipment start-up.
1.
Assemble the curb, or other means of unit support (if applicable) in the
desired location in accordance with mechanical and structural plans.
2.
During lifting operations, slings or chains with hooks and I-beam spreaders
are recommended, Figure 1. Lifting must be equal to all lugs furnished. The
sling spreader (I-beam or equal) must be equal in length to the longest span
between lifting points. Depending on sling length one or more spreaders are
recommended. In no case should the lift be less than 80-degrees from
horizontal or more than 30-degrees from threaded shank direction.
3.
Set any spring isolator in-place on the unit support structure in the locations
shown on the unit submittal drawing. Figure 2 represents typical vibration
feet assembly.
4.
Set unit into place with careful attention to proper setting of the unit’s base
onto the flanged top plate of each spring isolator.
5.
Figure 3 depicts a typical hanging assembly.
6.
Accessory items such as inlet hood V-Bank filter assembly motorized shutoff
damper, and discharge sections may require field installations.
