Selecting the Mounting
Locations
Determine the mounting location with
the customer as follows:
Indoor Unit
• Install the indoor unit level on a
strong wall which is not subject
to vibration.
• The inlet and outlet ports should
not be obstructed. The air should
be able to blow throughout the
room.
• Install the indoor unit where
connection to the outdoor unit
can be made easily.
• Install the unit where the drain pipe
can be easily installed.
• Take servicing into consideration
and leave the spacing shown in
Figure 2. Also, install the unit where
the filter can be easily removed.
• Do not install the unit near a source
of heat, steam, or flammable gas.
• Do not install the unit where it will
be exposed to direct sunlight.
Outdoor Unit
• Leave the spacing shown in
Figure 3 for required air flow.
• If possible, do not install the unit
where it will be exposed to direct
sunlight.
• Do not install the unit near a source
of heat, steam, or flammable gas.
• Do not install the unit where a
strong wind consistently blows or
where it is extremely dusty.
• Do not install the unit where people
pass in front of the fan discharge
grille.
