T.V.S. Harness for LSOV
WIR10523
GENERAL:
The new wire harness (WIR10523) needs to be installed
where the existing latching switchover valve (LSOV) harness
is. This new wire harness has a transient voltage suppressor
and is used to eliminate a potential voltage spike to the LSOV
solenoid when the LSOV gets commanded (This is NOT a
safety concern).
This kit is used with the following variable speed heat pump
models:
4TWV
4TWL9
4A6V
4A6L9

INSPECTION:
1. Unpack all components of the kit.
2. Check carefully for any shipping damage. If any damage
is found, this must be reported immediately and a claim
made against the transportation company.
3. Check to be sure all components are in the package. Any
missing components should be reported to your supplier
at once and replaced with authorized components only.

HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE!
Disconnect all electric power, including remote
disconnects before installing or servicing. Follow proper
lockout/tagout procedures to ensure the power can not
be inadverantly energized. Failure to disconnect power
before servicing could result in death or serious injury.
INSTALLATION:
1. Disconnect all the electrical power to the unit.
a. Wait two (2) minutes after disconnecting power as
the electrical components may hold a dangerous
voltage. Verify the DC Voltage is less than 42 VDC
as measured from the test points at the bottom of
the drive before servicing the drive.
2. Remove the unit control box cover.
3. Remove the unit top which allows access to the wire
routing (step not required for side discharge units).
4. Remove the unit side panel to gain access to the LSOV
solenoid.
