output by the measuring system. In this case the process data must not
be used anymore and the application must be transferred into a safe
condition.
Each port (IO-Link device/master) has a value status (PortQualifier). The value status indicates
whether the process data are
VALID
or
INVALID
.
By the measuring system, the value status is transmitted cyclically with the process input data to the
IO-Link master. This status is evaluated by the IO-Link master and indicates the process data
correspondingly.
