Chapter 29 MSTP Commands
MSTP (Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol), compatible with both STP and RSTP and subject to
IEEE 802.1s, can disbranch a ring network. STP is to block redundant links and backup links as
well as optimize paths.
spanning-tree(global)
Description
The
spanning-tree
command is used to enable STP function globally. To
disable the STP function, please use
no spanning-tree
command.

spanning-tree
no spanning-tree

Enable the STP function:

spanning-tree(interface)
Description
The
spanning-tree
command is used to enable STP function for a port. To
disable the STP function, please use
no spanning-tree
command.
