Reinstall the driver and passenger side cowl 
cover and door scuffs.

Reinstall the glove box under panel.  

(i)

 

Reconnect the vehicle’s negative battery 
cable. 

(1)

 

Position the negative battery cable at the 
original factory position. (Fig. 7-1) 

(2)

 

Tighten the nut with 4.1 N-m (36 lbf-in) 
of torque. 

(3)

 

Do not touch the positive battery terminal 
with any tool when replacing the cable.

Initialize the passenger side window controls. 

(1)

 

Refer to the factory repair manual for 
proper procedures.

Initialize the sunroof. 

(1)

 

Refer to the factory repair manual for 
proper procedures.

Completing the Installation 

(a)

 

Perform vehicle accessory function checks. 

(b)

 

If required, remove the DCC fuse located in 
the engine compartment. 

(c)

 

Using an approved cleaner, clean any 
smudges, fingerprints, or dirt off of the front 
door sill surfaces. 

(d)

 

Clean up and remove any trash.
