Operating Instructions: Fully automatic battery charger

MODELs: 12V, 24V, 36V und 48V

Description

The charger is a fully automatic charger designed to charge all types of lead-acid batteries (VRLA, Gel, AGM
or wet lead-acid batteries). The charger can remain connected to the batteries after full charge (green light)
without damaging them. In this stand-by mode (after full charge of the batteries) the charger will operate at
minimum power, get the full. This is realized by a controller that controls the charge level of the battery and
adapts the charging current to the needs of the battery.

Instructions

Read the safety instructions before use!

1. For models with AC selector switch (position for 115V on one side, position for 230V on other side), make
sure that the AC selector switch is set to the correct AC mains voltage (115VAC or 230VAC). An incorrect setting
will damage the charger and / or the batteries! Some models do not have an AC selector switch.

2. The polarity of the outgoing cables, DC side (which is + plus, which - minus) and the meanings of the LED
indicators are on the charger.

3. Connect the charger to the charging socket of the device / machine. Plug the AC power plug into the socket.
If the charger has an ON / OFF switch, set switch to ON. Chargers without plug on the outgoing cable of the DC
side: (+) Plus cable (DC) of the charger with the + positive pole of the battery; and (-) connect the negative (DC)
cable (usually black) to the (-) negative terminal of the battery. While charging, the RED LED turns green and
changes to GREEN when the battery is fully charged. It is recommended that the batteries / machine / device
be connected to the charger until fully charged. This extends the life of the battery.

4. Some chargers are shipped with a green sheathed cable. This is used in electric vehicles and prevents driving
during the charging process. Normally, this cable is not used and can remain free.

5. To turn it off, first unplug the power cord or, if the charger has an ON / OFF switch, set the ON / OFF switch to
OFF. Then disconnect the batteries / machine / unit from the charger.
