to save your work often.
Removing the battery from the computer

Save your work.

Turn off the computer via the Start menu or place it in
Hibernation mode according to the instructions in “Using
Hibernation” in your electronic user’s guide.

Remove all cables connected to the computer.

Close the display panel and turn the computer upside
down with the front side of the computer facing you.

If the battery lock latches are in the locked position (to
the left of the computer), slide them to the right of the
computer.

Slide the battery release latch to release the battery.

While still holding the release latch in the open position
lift the battery pack out of the computer.
