Using an External Keyboard
If you prefer to use a standard desktop keyboard, you can attach
one to your computer. The PS/2 port supports any PS/2-
compatible keyboard.
You can only connect one PS/2 device at a time. If you’re
already using a PS/2 mouse, you must remove it before con-
necting a keyboard or you can purchase a Y-cable from your
dealer to simultaneously support both devices.
Connecting the Keyboard
To connect an external keyboard, follow these steps:
1 Turn the computer off.
Make sure the computer is off before you attach the keyboard.
Connecting a keyboard with the computer’s power on may
damage the keyboard, the computer or both.

2 Attach the keyboard cable to the PS/2 port on the back of
the computer.
