4 Replacement Procedures

4.22 LCD unit/FL inverter

Removing the LCD unit/FL inverter

The following describes the procedure for removing the LCD unit and FL inverter (See
Figure 4-36, 4-37, 4-38, 4-39 and 4-40).

1. Pull up to remove the

hinge caps

from the both sides.

2. Peel off two

mask tapes

and remove the following

screws

securing the display mask.

M2.5

FLAT BIND screw

3. Insert your finger between the edge of the display mask and the

LCD

, and remove the

display mask

while unlatching the display mask.
