Wi-Fi Wireless LAN

Hexadecimal 26-digit English letters and numerals can be entered
in Network Key. Letters and numerals that can be entered are 0-9
and A(a) - F(f).

Key Index:
This becomes enabled when WEP is selected. Select 1 - 4.

Enable network access using IEEE 802.1X:
Select to enable 802.1x validation function.

EAP type:
Select protocol for using 802.1x validation function.

TLS (EAP-TLS)
Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol used by Windows 2000
Server, etc.

PEAP
Protected EAP Protocol (PEAP) used by Windows.NET Server
2003, etc.
Please ask your network administrator for further 802.1x validation
procedure details.

Wireless Communication switch off:
The Wireless Communication Switch (on the bottom of the PDA) is turned
off. Tapping on the
icon gives you a warning message, “Please turn on
Wireless communication switch!” Tap

to close the dialog box. Turn on
the switch and you will see the

, depending on the
original WLAN Module Power setting.
Wireless Communication power off:
The WLAN module is powered off. Tapping on the
icon displays a
“Power Wireless on” message. Tap the link to turn on the Wireless LAN
module power and then the

icon.
Wireless power on:
The WLAN module is powered on. Tapping on the
icon displays a
“Power Wireless off” message. Tap the link to turn off the Wireless LAN
module power and then the
to
icon. The number of waves indicates
the signal strength.
