Master-Follower
Introduction
Using the RS485 card, the G3 can be controlled in a master-follower configuration. The
configuration allows the follower(s) to follow the master’s output frequency or the reference by
which the master is controlled. Like all G3 speed references, there is a bias/gain adjustment to allow
ratioing of speeds between the master and the follower(s). The cards are connected in parallel with a
twisted pair.
