D.1
List of differences between DN611A and DN611B
The DN611B uses HMS's DeviceNet board (hereinafter referred to as the "HMS board") for the DeviceNet
transmission function, and has the following differences from the DN611A.
item
Difference in DN611B
Reference
Appearance
- Changed from 7-segment LED display to state display LED.
- All operation mode setting switches are OFF.
DIP-Switch 2: BUSS OFF is not supported.
Chapter 2
Resuming automatic transmission after
bus-off recovery
-Transmission does not resume automatically when the bus-
off status is restored. After removing the cause of the bus off,
the system needs to be restarted.
Chapter
2.2
Transfer timing of input / output data area -The DN611A started transferring the input / output data area
when the DeviceNet communication started, but the DN611B
starts transferring the input / output data when the
transmission start (RUN) is instructed to the HMS board.
Chapter 4
Control request / response
: Reset request
-Since the “DN611B parameter” are saved on the HMS board,
DeviceNet communication can be started without setting the
DN611B parameters.
-When the reset request is executed by "Clear scan list", the
initial value of the HMS board is set as " DN611B parameter".
Therefore, DeviceNet communication can be started without
executing the "DN611B parameter" setting request after
clearing the scan list.
Chapter
4.3.2
Control request / response
: Parameter setting (ND611B)
-Polling transmission mode: The set value is fixed at 1.
Setting value 1 is a method of waiting for a polling response
after a polling request for each slave device. (Standard
method in DeviceNet)
Chapter
4.3.3
Control request / response
: Parameter setting (slave device)
-Scan type supports "0: Bit strobe" and "1: Polling".
Only 0 and 1 can be set.
Chapter
4.3.4
Control request / response
: Operation mode control
-The following settings are not supported.
Bit strobe permission / polling permission /
change of state permission / explicit message permission /
transmission start, stop
-Only asynchronous mode data input / output is supported.
Chapter
4.3.5
Control request / response
: Read serial number
: Set Serial number
: COS notification
: Explicit message request
-These requests are not supported. Returns an error
response.
Chapter 4.3
(No
applicable
description)
DeviceNet board control
: Data transmission in synchronous mode
: COS, cyclic data input / output
: Send and receive Explicit message
-These controls are not supported.
There is no
applicable
chapter.
DeviceNet configuration tool
-The "DeviceNet Wizard for TOSHIBA" that was used in
DN611A cannot be used.
-For DN611B, please use "Anybus Configuration Manager --
DeviceNet" manufactured by HMS.
Chapter 4.6
RAS information
-Some items are not supported in DN611B.
-There are items newly added in DN611B.
* See Chapter 6.1.1 for details.
Chapter
6.1.1
RS232C communication: Dedicated
loader port request function
-This function cannot be used.
There is no
applicable
chapter.
