The 3.5 mm diameter mini monaural microphone jack lets you
connect an external microphone for recording sound.
The 3.5 mm diameter mini headphone jack lets you connect stereo
headphones. Connecting headphones to this jack automatically
disables the internal speaker.

DEFINITION: USB is a peripheral expansion standard that
supports a data transfer rate of up to 12 Mbps for peripherals
such as keyboards and pointing devices. USB peripherals
have a single standard for cables and connectors. The USB
standard also allows hot swapping of peripherals.
The monitor port lets you connect an external monitor to your
computer.
The expansion port allows you to connect the computer to the
LAN Port Replicator or to one of several optional expansion
