Using Power Management

Each method takes you to the first of two screens, each of which is
a table displaying the computer’s hardware settings. To change (or
view) the options available for any particular setting, use the arrow
keys to move to the setting and press the spacebar to scroll through
the options. To save changes and exit TSETUP, click
End

Y
to reboot the system.
Any changes you’ve made in TSETUP become default settings
when the computer reboots.
Using Power Management
Your operating system includes a power management utility that
allows you to change many of your default power settings.
NOTE: For Windows 98 Second Edition, Toshiba
recommends that you use the Microsoft Power Manager to
set the Hibernation option only.
For other Windows 98 Second Edition and Windows NT
power-saving options, use the Toshiba Power Saver utility.
TECHNICAL NOTE: For Windows 98 Second Edition,
Toshiba recommends that you always have the Hibernation
option enabled. Hibernation is the function that causes your
system to save anything you have in short-term memory to
the hard disk drive should your battery fail. If Hibernation is
not enabled and your battery dies, you will lose data.
