Turning on the Active Desktop
The first step to bring active content to your desktop is to
turn on the Active Desktop:

Place the cursor on an empty space on the desktop and
click the secondary button.

Point to Active Desktop, then click Show Web
Content.
Your desktop is ready to set up.
Adding components to the Active Desktop

Point to an empty space on the desktop, click the
secondary button, and click Properties.

Click the Web tab.
Windows Millennium Edition displays a list of items to
add to the desktop.

To view additional components, click New.
The New Active Desktop Item dialog box appears.

To browse the Active Desktop Gallery for more
components to add, click Visit Gallery.
In order to browse, an active Internet connection must
be established.

To select some other Web site, type the address of the
Web site you want or click Browse to locate it.
You can configure the Active Desktop in several other ways.
