Start-up
Installation using M8 threaded bushes
1. Place the Power 48-5000 on a suitable mounting location.
2. Fasten the Power 48-5000 from underneath, using the M8 threaded bushes
(depth 9 mm) (2).
3. Check that the Power 48-5000 is fitted tightly.
Installation using a strap
1. Place the Power 48-5000 on the intended location.
2. Fix the Power 48-5000 in place using four straps that are guided through the
elongated slots (1) provided.
ADVICE
Do not fasten the straps over the lid.
3. Check that the Power 48-5000 is fitted tightly.
Installation using M6 threaded rods
1. Place the Power 48-5000 on the intended location.
2. Guide the M6 threaded rods through the attachment points (1) and washers
(18 mm, e.g. 3D washer as per DIN 9021).
3. Screw the M6 threaded rods into a mount prepared for this purpose in the hull
of the boat, and fit washers (for large washers = 18 mm, tighten to max. 7 Nm,
for small washers = 12 mm, tighten to max 2.5 Nm).
4. Check that the Power 48-5000 is fitted tightly.
Installation of the chargers
The chargers are designed to be free-standing or wall mounted.
There are holes in the base of the chargers for mounting with screws.
ADVICE
In order to prevent heat build-up, the charger should be installed in an area of
suitable size with good ventilation.
During charging, it may be advisable to open hatches and covers in order to
ensure better ventilation.
ADVICE
The 2900 Watt 2212-00 charger may only be installed using the mounting frame
provided.
5.3 Wiring of the Power 48-5000
WARNING!
Danger of injury from short circuit.
This can result in severe physical injuries or death.

Remove metal jewellery and wristwatches before you start work on batteries
or in their vicinity.

Always put down tools and metal objects without making contact with the
battery.
■
When connecting the battery, ensure correct polarity and secure
connections.
■
Battery terminals must be clean and free of corrosion.
■
Do not store batteries hazardously in a box or drawer, e.g. an insufficiently
ventilated locker.
