This book is intended to provide easy reference to information most commonly
accessed. Every effort has been made to assure the information provided in

Part numbers are provided for your convenience, but number changes are
common. Toro part number changes are usually reflected on shipping
invoices. However, non-Toro part number changes (Kohler, B&S, etc.) may
occur without notification. Refer to the proper parts catalog prior to ordering to
assure accuracy.
To make this book a desk reference, print it (or only the desired pages), Use a
standard 3 hole punch, and put them into a 1 inch thick 3-ring binder ( 8.5 X 11).
All oils mentioned in this guide are based on Toro engineering specifications.
Please refer to your equipment’s Operators Manual for acceptable substitutes
(if any). You may also refer to Toro’s website for Service Bulletins regarding
the use of Biodegradable oils (listed under General Topics).
The “Charts” indicated for many of the oil listings provide viscosity ratings for
different operating temperatures. All charts are listed in the back of this book
(pages 93-96).
All traction units have grease fittings that must be lubricated regularly with No.2
General Purpose Lithium-based grease. If machinery is operated under
severe conditions, lubricate all bearings and bushings more often than normal
recommendations.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
