5. Install a tree bracket onto each of the harness clips
6. Route the wire harness along the top left side of
the hood while plugging the tree brackets onto the
hoods existing plastic tree plugs (Figure 1).
7. Drill a 13 mm hole in the hood screen to allow the
connector of the registration plate light wire harness
to pass through to the light. The hole in the hood
screen should be aligned with the wire access hole in
the rear plate assembly after it is mounted.
8. Mount the rear plate assembly to the rear of the
hood with (2) 5/16 x .613 inch flange head screws
and 5/16 flange head nuts (Figure 1).
9. Route the harness through the hole in the hood
screen and the rear plate assembly (Figure 1).
10. Plug the wire harness connector into the rear plate
lamp (Figure 1).
11. Mount the plate light to the registration plate bracket
with (2) #10 x 5/8 inch screws and #10 lock nuts
(Figure 1). Do not over tighten. Make sure the lens
points downward and the wires are inserted through
the hole in the plate mount.
12. Connect the registration plate light wire harness to
the existing light kit harness.
Important:
Make sure the wire harness is clear
of all hot, sharp or moving components.
13. Check the operation of the registration plate light.
The plate light should illuminate when the lights are
turned ON and the key is in the RUN position.
