Hydraulic Test Selection
Before beginning any hydraulic test, identify if the problem is related to the
traction circuit, steering circuit, or lift circuit. Once the faulty system has been
identified, perform tests that relate to that circuit.
If a traction circuit problem exists, consider performing one or more of the
following tests: Charge Pressure, Wheel Motor Efficiency, and/or Traction Pump
(P1) Flow and Relief Valve.
If a steering, optional auxiliary valve, or lift circuit problem exists, consider
performing one or more of the following tests: Steering Relief Valve (RV4)
Pressure Test, Steering Cylinder Test, Lift Cylinder Test, and/or Gear Pump
(P2) Flow Test.
Note:
Adjusting the weight transfer of the cutting unit or attachment may help to
diagnose lift circuit problems; refer to the traction unit
Operator’s Manual
