position. Try starting the machine; the machine
should not start.

Sit on the seat, disengage the parking brake,
move the drive-mode switch to the F
ORWARD
position, and move the blade-control switch to
the O
N
position. Try starting the machine; the
machine should not start.
3.
Sit on the seat, disengage the parking brake,
move the drive-mode switch to the R
EVERSE
position, and move the blade-control switch to
the O
FF
position. Try starting the machine; the
machine should not start.
4.
Sit on the seat, disengage the parking brake,
move the drive-mode switch to the F
ORWARD
position, and move the blade-control switch to
the O
FF
position. Start the machine. While the
machine is running, rise slightly from the seat;
the machine should shut off.
5.
Sit on the seat, disengage the parking brake,
move the drive-mode switch to the F
ORWARD
position, and move the blade-control switch to
the O
FF
position. Start the machine. While the
machine is running, engage the blade-control
switch, and rise slightly from the seat; the mower
blades and machine should shut off.

Sit on the seat, disengage the parking brake,
move the drive-mode switch to the F
ORWARD
position, and move the blade-control switch to
the O
FF
position. Start the machine. While the
machine is running, engage the blade-control
switch, and move the drive-mode switch to the
R
EVERSE
position; the mower blades should
shut off.
Positioning the Seat
The seat can move forward and backward. Position
the seat where you have the best control of the
machine and are most comfortable.

Removing the Grass
Catcher
1.
Park the machine on a level surface, disengage
the blade-control switch, and engage the parking
brake.
2.
Shut off the machine and remove the key.
3.
Open the grass catcher by pulling out the
discharging handle and pushing it forward.
