Determine the left and right sides of the machine from the normal operating position.

Maintenance Procedure
Before each use or daily
• Check the safety interlock system.
• Check the air cleaner for dirty, loose or damaged parts.
• Check the engine oil level.
• Check air intake and cooling areas, clean as necessary.
• Check the cutting blades.
• Inspect the grass deflector for damage
• Clean the mower housing.
Every 25 hours
• Grease all lubrication points.
• Check tire pressure.
• Check the belts for wear/cracks.
Every 50 hours
• Service the paper element. (more often under extremely dusty, dirty conditions)
Every 100 hours
• Replace the paper element. (more often under extremely dusty, dirty conditions)
• Change the engine oil and filter.
• Clean the blower housing (more often under extremely dusty, dirty conditions).
• Replace the fuel filter.
Every 200 hours
• Check spark plug(s) condition and gap.
Every 500 hours
• Replace the spark plug(s).
Before storage
• Charge the battery and disconnect battery cables.
• Perform all maintenance procedures listed above before storage.
• Paint any chipped surfaces.
Important:
Refer to your engine operator’s manual for additional maintenance procedures.
CAUTION
If you leave the key in the ignition switch, someone could accidently start the engine and seriously injure
you or other bystanders.
Remove the key from the ignition and disconnect the wire from the spark plug before you do any
maintenance. Set the wire aside so that it does not accidentally contact the spark plug.
