Tilting the Cutting Unit
1.
Position the machine on a level surface, raise the
cutting unit, turn off the engine, engage the parking
break, and apply the lift-arm latches.
Note:
If the cutting unit is a 183 cm (72 inch) model
with a rear discharge kit fitted, the rear left foot guard
should be removed prior to carrying out this operation.
2.
Remove the hairpin cotter and clevis pin securing
the height-of-cut collar to the height-of-cut rod on
the rear of the cutting unit (
). Remove the
height-of-cut collars.

Pivot the deck until the clevis pin will fit through the
hole in the right castor arm and secure it to the right
lift arm. Secure the clevis pin with a haripin cotter
(
).
Lowering the Cutting Unit from the
Tilted Position
1.
Remove the hairpin cotter.
2.
Lift the deck until the clevis pin can be easily removed
from the hole in the right castor-arm (
3.
Lower and tilt the deck back ensuring the height-of-cut
rods do not get caught on any part of the traction unit.
4.
Push down on the rear, right side of the cutting unit and
insert the height-of-cut rods through the lift-arm pads.
5.
Repeat for the left side, making sure that the right side,
height-of-cut rod does not fall out (
).
6.
Install the height-of-cut collars onto the height-of-cut
rods and secure them with the clevis pins and hairpin
cotters (
).
Note:
Make sure that the head of the clevis pin is
toward the front of the deck.
Separating the Cutting Unit
from the Traction Unit
1.
Position the machine on level surface, raise the cutting
unit, move the lift lever to the F
LOAT
position, shut the
engine off, and engage the parking brake.
