Installing the Hazard Switch

Parts needed for this procedure:

Switch, hazard

Cable tie

Procedure

1.

Remove the plug from the hole in the top of the
steering tower (

).

Turn signal switch

Hazard switch

2.

Install the hazard switch into the hole in the steering
tower (

Figure 4

).

3.

Unplug the wiring harness connector from the turn
signal switch (

Figure 4

).

4.

Plug the wiring harness connector, labeled Turn Signal,
into the turn signal switch and the connector, labeled
Hazard, into the hazard switch.

5.

Secure the wiring harness to the existing wiring harness
with the 2 cable ties.

Note:

When routing the wiring, ensure that the

operation of the tilt steering does not damage the
harness or pull on the wires.

Installing the Headlights

Parts needed for this procedure:

Headlamp bracket, left hand (for model without cab)

1

Headlamp bracket, right hand (for model without cab)

1

Headlamp bracket, right hand (for model with cab)

1

Headlamp bracket, left hand (for model with cab)

1

Headlamp right hand

1

Headlamp left hand

2

Flange head bolt, 1/2 1–1/4 inch

Flange nut, 1/2 inch

2

Headlight wiring cover (for model without cab)

Plastic plug

Cable ties

For Traction Units Not Equipped With
a Cab

1.

Unplug the wiring harness connector from each
existing headlight.

2.

Remove the fasteners securing each head light bracket
to the operator's platform. Retain the mounting
fasteners (

Figure 5

).

Using the fasteners previously removed, mount the
R.H and L.H headlight brackets to the existing holes
in the front of the operator's platform. Position the
brackets as shown in

Figure 6

and

Figure 7

Torque to

95 to 115 ft-lbs (129 to 156 N-m).
