Read and adhere to the information provided in

General Precautions for

Removing and Installing the Hydraulic System Components (page 5–49)

prior to

removing hydraulic system components.

1. To prevent contact between the face of the speed sensor and the drive

coupling during axle motor removal, remove the speed sensor from the
motor mount.

2. To prevent contamination of the hydraulic system during motor removal,

thoroughly clean the exterior of the motor and fittings.

3. Label and disconnect the hydraulic hoses from the axle motor. To prevent

contamination of hydraulic the system, plug the disconnected hoses and
cap the fittings.

Note:

The 2 cap screws that secure the rear axle motor to the motor mount

also secure the hydraulic brake assembly.
