7. Handling
Observe all safety instructions in these operating instructions!
The product may not become damp or wet. Do not touch the cordless drill / screwdriver and plug charging set with your damp
or wet hands! There is risk of a fatal electric shock!
Avoid the following unfavourable ambient conditions during operation or transportation:
damp or humidity which is too high
-
extreme coldness or heat
-
direct sunlight
-
dust or combustible gases, vapours or solvents (Explosion hazard!)
-
strong vibrations
-
strong magnetic fields such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or loudspeakers.

Always check the product for damage every time before using it.
In case you notice any damage, do not operate the product any longer and bring it to a specialist workshop.
It must be assumed that the safe operation is no longer possible, if
the device has been visibly damaged,
-
the device does not longer operate and
-
it has been stored for long periods under unfavourable conditions or
-
it has been subject to considerable stress in transit.

Never place the cordless drill / screwdriver and the plug-in charging set onto valuable furniture surfaces without sufficient
protection measures.
Allow the accumulator to cool down before charging it.
Ensure that the accumulator/plug-in charging set is ventilated sufficiently during the charging process. Monitor the charging
process. Do not cover the plug-in charging set/accumulator, keep it at a sufficient distance to other objects etc.
Separate the plug-in charging set from the accumulator as soon as possible after having completed the charging process.
Ensure that the accumulaor is not permanently connected to the plug-in charging set, because this could damage the ac

cumulator!
After charging is completed (ca. 15 min.), disconnect the charging station from the mains.
Do not insert any objects, e.g. paper clips, ballpoint pens, pins or knitting needles etc. into the ventilation slits or openings
of the device. This cannot only cause risk of product damage but also risk of a fatal electric shock!
Do not pull the plug-in charging set out of the mains socket by the cable, risk of a fatal electric shock! Pull the plug-in charg

ing set always out of the mains socket by the casing (hold it at its left and right sides with your hand and then pull it out).
It is not permitted to open or disassemble the product (cordless drill / screwdriver and plug-in charging set). None of the com-
ponents inside the product is to be maintained by the user.
Put on appropriate clothes when operating the product and take additional protective measures (safety goggles, dust protec

tion, ear protection).
Keep order at your workstation, ensure good light conditions. Keep children away from your workstation.
Protect the workpiece against sliding or turning. For example, use a vice for drilling operations.
Only use suitable bore bits or drills for the cordless drill / screwdriver.
Ensure your safe standing position when working, use a suitable ladder for example.
Principally, use the electric tools only if you are concentrated and sober. A non-concentrated way of working or working under
alcohol or drugs cannot only damage the workpiece or electric device but can also cause high risk of injury!
Do not overload the electrical appliances. Only use the electric devices for such operations for which they are provided. For
example, the cordless drill / screwdriver must not be used for gauging mortar.
Do not apply any force onto the cordless drill / screwdriver when screwing or drilling. Apart from the risk to damage the cordless
drill / screwdriver/accumulator there is also risk of injury.
Never touch the rotating drill chuck, the rotating drill or drill bit. Risk of injury!
The heating-up of the cordless drill / screwdriver or the installed accumulator during operation is normal. The same applies for
charging the accumulator.
Keep the electrical appliances in a clean condition and clean them at regular intervals. In this way you can enjoy a correctly
functioning tool for a long period of time.
Keep the electrical appliance at a dry and clean location (no damp cellars or places like that). The location at which you keep
the device must be out of the reach of children. Children cannot estimate the risks which can arise through handling electrical
appliances.
