Amplifier power
We recommend an amplifier between 30 and 100 watts. Your speaker has a peak operating power
of around 60 watts (28 watts continuous)
It can be argued that it is better to have an amplifier that is more powerful than the speaker ratings,
rather than less. This is because you can easily limit the amount of volume you send to the speak-
ers with the volume control. You will hear the distortion if you are starting to reach the limits of the
speakers so just back off a bit before you do any serious damage. This is of course if you want high
volumes. Usually normal listening levels will be perhaps 3 to 10 watts.
Caution
Overloading the speakers with very high volumes (except for short periods) will cause irreparable
damage and is not covered by the warranty.
