Upper A-Arm removal 

Upper A-Arm removal 

Tech Tip 

Count the number of exposed threads (1). 
Use this number when re installing to keep 
wheels aligned. 
 

 

 

1.

 

Unlock the nuts that hold the upper ball joint 

to the a-arm and disconnect it from the spindle.  

 

 

2.

 

Remove the a-arm bolts (1) and (2) and pull 

out the upper a-arm. 

 

Lower A-Arm removal 

1.

 

Remove the nut (1) to detach the ball joint 
from the king pin.  

 

Tech Tip 

If the ball joint just spins tighten the bottom 

ball joint cap to lock the ball joint in place. 

 

2.

 

Disconnect the lower shock mount. 

 

 

 

3.

 

Remove the a-arm bolts (1) and (2) and pull
