Transmission Installation 

Transmission Installation 

Insert the transmission into its place on the tray. 

Insert the transmission into its place on the tray. 
Insert the three screws on each side that hold it 
in position. 

Insert the three screws on each side that hold it 
in position. 

 

1.

 

Before installing either final drive make sure 
the axle o-ring (1) is in place. 

 

2.

 

Before installing the right side final drive on 
the vehicle make sure the spanner nut (2) 
and the speed ring (3) are placed on the 
center axle.  

 

 

 

3.

 

While pushing the final drive into place rotate 
the brake rotor to align the center axle splines 
with the upper final drive axle.   

4.

 

Push the final drive in place until the o-ring 
just comes in contact with the upper final 

drive axle. Using a flat tip screw driver, push 
the o-ring into the gap between the center 
axle and the final drive axle. Rotate the axle 
by turning the brake rotor as you work the o-
ring in place.
