
Remove the heavy steel washer, “High” gear cog
wheel, and the thin special washer from the
secondary shaft.

*The thin special washer may be stuck to the
underside of the “high” gear cog.
*The thin special washer may be stuck to the
underside of the “high” gear cog.
Remove the spacer and the complete reverse
gear assembly off of the reverse shaft.
The shift drum with shift forks, long CVT shaft,
and the large selector gear off the secondary
shaft should all come out of the transmission
together, as one unit.
These parts can now be pulled apart for cleaning
and inspection. The long CVT Shaft has an
external snap ring that secures the primary
reverse gear onto the shaft. If the reverse gears
are not damaged, this will not need to come
apart.
