Define access code With the customer-specific access code, the parameters for
the measuring device configuration are write-protected and
their values can no longer be changed via local operation.
(For disabling write-protection, see 5.2.2)
Defining the access code via local display
1. Navigate to the Enter access code parameter.
2. Define a max. 4-digit numeric code as an access code.
3. Enter the access code again to confirm the code.
The ( ) symbol appears in front of all write- protected
parameters.
NOTE: The device automatically locks the write-protected
parameters again if a key is not pressed for 10 minutes
in the navigation and editing view. The device locks the
write-protected parameters automatically after 60
seconds if the user skips back to the operational
display mode from the navigation and editing view.
NOTE: • If write access is activated via access code, it can
be also be deactivated only via the access code.
• The user role with which the user is currently logged
on via the local display is indicated by the Access
status display parameter.
Parameters which can always be modified via the local
display.
Certain parameters that do not affect the measurement are
excepted from write protection via the local display. Despite
the defined access code, these parameters can always be
modified even if the other parameters are locked.

Restart or reset device manually.
NOTE: Using the Device reset parameter it is possible to
reset the entire device configuration or some of the
configuration to a defined state.
