6. Locate the master link on left wheel drive
chain (C) and remove the chain from the axle
sprocket.

Loosen the flange bearing set screw and
remove the mounting bolts (D).

Remove the flange bearing from the axle.
9. Remove the belt from the axle.
10. Install the new belt over the axle allow the belt to
hang on the axle.
11.
Install the flange bearing leaving the mounting
hardware (D) loose.
12. Install the chain over the wheel and axle sprock-
ets. Secure the chain with the master link.
13. Install the belt over the axle, drive, and tension
pulley’s.
14. Adjust the axle and drive chains in accordance
with the drive chain adjustment procedure in this
manual.
15. Adjust the drive control cable in accordance with
the drive control cable adjustment procedure in
this manual.
16. Install the axle drive belt cover securing it in
place with two 5/16” bolts (B) and washers.
17. Install the left and right axle covers securing it in
place with eight 5/16” bolts (A) and washers.
Chain Tension Adjustment
The chain tension is adjusted by adjusting the drive
axle.

CAUTION
Ensure that the Power Ox 240B is securely sup-
ported. Failure to properly support the unit could
result in damage to equipment or injury.
Lift the rear of the power ox so that the tires are
off of the ground.
2. Remove the left and right axle covers by remov-
ing the eight 5/16” mounting bolts (A).

Slightly loosen the flange bearing mounting bolts
(B) of all three flange bearings.

Loosen the two 3/8” locking flange nuts (C) on
each flange bearing adjuster.
