6. Accessory test prods
Only test probes that are approved by the
manufacturer for the Prüfball are to be used (e.g.
test probes for test holes in protective covers, for
overhead lines and extensions for test prods). The
test probe is attached with its sleeve to the test
electrode of the voltage tester and bolted on under
slight pressure. The thread of the test probe thereby
presses about 1 1/2 convolutions on the conical part
of the test electrode.
The connection between test probe and voltage
tester is to be controlled in each case!
Only a perfect mechanical connection ensures safe
contact and thus an unambiguous voltage test.
For frequent use, we recommend fitting the test
electrodes of the voltage tester with an M 3.5 thread
in order to ensure proper connection.
7. Maintenance
The Prüfball SPB is completely maintenance-free.
Nevertheless, we would advise you to observe the
following instructions for safe use:
The voltage tester should be kept dry and clean.
The plastic housing can be cleaned with a cloth
dampened with isopropyl alcohol or soapy water.
8. Repair
Repair is only allowed by the manufacturer or expli-
citly authorised repair shops.
