Renegotiate POTS Modem Down
This User Function will cause the local codec modem (or modems if two
POTS modules are installed in the codec) to renegotiate down. This User
Function could be useful if line conditions have worsened and the prevailing
connection bit rate is likely to be unusable. To activate the function simply
press the
F2
key and then

on the local codec’s keypad. If two modems are
being used then the retraining process will be initiated for both codecs.

Toggle PPM Select Button through Monitoring Options
This User Function enables the user to scroll through the
PPM
monitoring
options on the TLR 303 front panel and the TLG3 GUI. The monitoring
options available on the codec include Matrix (
PPM 1 & 2
settings as per the
Matrix Editor
settings programmed into the codec), Encoders (monitors
audio entering Encoders 1 and 2) and Decoders (monitors audio leaving
Decoders 1 and 2). Audio is toggled on both meters each time the
PPM
SELECT
button is pressed. The current setting is displayed for a few seconds
on the
LCD
of the TLR 303 front panel and the TLG3 GUI once the
PPM
SELECT
button is pressed. The toggle selection is as follows, from left to
right, each time the
PPM SELECT
button is pressed.
