3 Operation
3.8 Stacking upSERIES Modules
The housings of the upLED™ and upTEMP™ can be stacked on top of each other, resulting in
a stable assembly and safe connections. This is convenient when multiple upLED™ are used.
For extended applications, upLED™ and upTEMP™ modules may be used in parallel to drive
LEDs and temperature measurements.
Please follow the steps as illustrated below for device stacking. To the right, stacking of two up-
TEMP™ modules is shown. Please ensure to have the Thorlabs logo on the same side.
1)
Hold two modules on top of each other with the
THORLABS logo facing the same direction.
This way, tongue (upper part) and groove
(lower part) are on the same side. Shift the two
modules such that the upper module is behind
the lower module (THORLABS logo of the lower
module is visible) and can slide into the guides
of the upper module.
2)
Place the upper module down onto the lower
module
3)
Slide the modules on top of each other until
they hit a stop.
