Chrolis
6. The presence of the LLG on the Chrolis is now electronically recognized and the tempera-
ture control is activated.
7. Use the Chrolis software to activate the LEDs.
Attention
Prior to turning on the Chrolis and using the Chrolis software, ensure that the free end of the
LLG is pointing away from all people or reflective surfaces in the room.
3.4 Inserting Bandpass Filters
The Chrolis modular setup allows the user to restrict the spectrum emitted by each LED by in-
serting a bandpass filter. The filter is positioned in a filter holder in the front part of the LED
module. The filter holder is held in place by 2 magnets on the holder side facing the LED. The
1" bandpass filter itself is inserted in the holder and secured by a SM1 retaining ring from the
LED-facing side of the holder with the magnets. The empty bandpass filter holder with the
SM1RR retaining ring is included with each LED module.
How to exchange/insert a bandpass filter:
1. Pull the filter holder in the up direction.
2. Unscrew the retaining ring using either Spanner Wrench SPW602 or SPW606 (not in-
cluded).
3. Insert the bandpass filter into the holder. Please do not touch the filter surface.
4. Secure the bandpass filter by screwing the retaining ring into the holder. Please ensure not
to overtighten the retaining ring.
5. Reinsert the filter holder into the LED module with the magnet facing the LED

3.5 BNC Breakout Box
The BNC Breakout Box BBC1 (available separately) enables the user to configure the timing of
the LEDs with external devices. The BNC Breakout Box offers BNC connectors for 6 "LED"
channels and 6 additional "AUX" channels.
The channels "LED 1" to "LED 6" can be used for direct modulation of the corresponding LEDs
by external TTL signals. The AUX channels can be either configured as input or output. They
allow the output of TTL signals for synchronization with other devices or the input of external
TTL signals that can be linked to internal signals.
The BNC Breakout Box can be configured via the CHROLIS software. Please see the
To use the BNC Breakout Box, connect the DSUB25 connector of the BNC Breakout Box to the
CHROLIS.
